Lavanya Krishnan is a writer and curator. An engineer and cognitive neuroscientist by training with a lifelong love of the arts, she co-founded Boxwalla in 2015 to showcase and champion writers, artists, and artisans.
Lavanya collaborated with Alexander Chee in 2023 to create a year-long series of the best of contemporary American Fiction. And then, with Katie Kitamura, Hari Kunzru, and Rivka Galchen on Kids’ Book Boxes, that Washington Post called the “literary equivalent of sending cookies baked by Massimo Bottura.”
